Говорят, рост Дэниэла 178 см, а не 180... идеализируют  :D Вот:

Daniel Craig's height is 5 ft 10.25 in (178 cm)
British Actor from Casino Royale and Layer Cake. A resume once had 5ft 11, although one newspaper said "he pointedly refuses to reveal his height. "I'm five to six feet".

про др я часто видела такое. не пойму, откуда взялся такой слух.
а вот насчет роста - склонна верить, инфа взята с сайта, посвященного росту знаменитостей  :D

хотя... про Николь вот что пишут - Nicole Kidman's height is 5 ft 10.5 in (179 cm)

Australian actress famous for Interpreter, Days of Thunder. After her split with Tom Cruise she remarked, 'I can wear heels again!'. She can be seen in a lot of premiere photos with Cruise doing some subtle leaning to de-emphasize her height. On 60 minutes she revealed that "I'm five ten and a half, but I think now maybe I've grown a half an inch and I'm five eleven. I was this height when I was 13 years old!". She does look a genuine 179cm.

Добавим сюда инфу из раздела Новости о экс-супруге Дэниэла:

Blonde jazz singer Harley Loudon, 37, of Edinburgh, is the mother of his daughter Ella, 12.

Craig, 37, met Harley when they were both aspiring young actors.

They married in Edinburgh in July 1992 when Harley was five months pregnant.

Their marital home was a flat in Fulham, London, although Harley gave birth to their daughter in Edinburgh.

Craig - who graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991 - soon secured work in films such as The Adventures Of Young Indiana Jones and The Power of One.

But he didn't find fame until 1996, when he landed a starring role in hit BBC drama Our Friends In The North.

By then, the couple were getting divorced and Harley was granted custody of Ella.

While Craig went on to pick up roles in hit films such as Sylvia with Gwyneth Paltrow, Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie and Layer Cake with Sienna Miller, his ex-wife kept a low profile.

In 1993, she wrote and appeared in Storm In A Teacup, a ballroom drama with jazz, while in 1996, she played page three girl Gloria Cupcake in A Satire of the Four Estaites at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Her only movie credit is The Legend of Loch Lomond, a Scottish Enterprise film by Mike Slee to promote the area, which was shown at the Imax cinema in Alexandria.

Harley's most recent work includes performing at Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London and recording an album with Rod Blake.

She said: "I was already composing lyrics in my head for Rod's music long before we decided to work together."

James Bond came from Hoylake
Daniel Craig is unveiled as the sixth James Bond... on a Royal Marine speedboat on the Thames The 37-year-old actor arrived in true 007 style to make the official announcement that he would be the next movie superspy and he is to be the first Blond Bond. A beaming Craig was asked how he was feeling about his new role as he walked up the gangplank to HMS President. Craig replied "I'm speechless at the moment."He said he was always confident he would win the coveted role after the producers spent 18 months looking for a new star.  "I had a confidence about it. I felt good about it," he said."Casino Royale will have all the action, suspense and espionage that our audiences have come to expect." Craig follows in the footsteps of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan in one of the biggest roles in show business.

Daniel Craig was born in Chester and grew up in Hoylake, Wirral. He was a reluctant star and had to be forced to audition for his first school play, his former drama teacher said. Brenda Davies was working at Hilbre High School when 'Danny' Craig walked into a casting session for a production of Oliver in 1981.She said "Danny had tagged along with a friend who was auditioning for a part in Oliver. He just wanted to stay to watch his friend, and had no interest in auditioning. But I told him he could only stay if he auditioned too."He was adamant he wouldn't and my jaw nearly hit the floor when he eventually got up on the stage. "He had such timing and range, and he had stage presence for a 13-year-old. But if you'd asked me then if we'd had the next Bond on our hands - I could only have told you then he had the potential." Craig left Wirral and went to London at the age of 16. He got into the Guildhall drama school at his third attempt, and his contemporaries included Ralph Fiennes and Ewan McGregor. His first major role was as Geordie Peacock in the drama Our Friends In The North. That followed with a role in Tomb Raider and played poet Ted Hughes opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in the film Sylvia. He had an on-off relationship with troubled supermodel Kate Moss, and has also been linked allegedly to actress Sienna Miller, his co-star in British gangster film Layer Cake.

EXCLUSIVE: POTATOHEAD WASN'T COOL
By Claire Donnelly And Nick Webster 15/10/2005

AS HE drank champagne to celebrate landing the most iconic role in cinema, Daniel Craig will have felt regret that the grandfather who encouraged his acting dream was not there to share the moment.

The new James Bond star was devastated when Olwyn Williams died this year at 96.

Daniel's dad Tim Wroughton-Craig said yesterday: "I think it's still painful for him."

As a child Daniel spent holidays with Olwyn and his gran Doris and it was on a cruise with them to the Norwegian fjords that he put on one of his first performances.

The eight-year-old devised, wrote and staged a show.

It was clear to the passengers that he had acting talent. But his friends - who still call him Mr Potatohead - never thought he would grow up to play Bond.

Anthony Lewis, 38, whose aunt Shirley became Tim's second wife in the early 70s, said: "Bond was something we knew about but never got to see. We wanted to watch but we were too young."

Anthony, of Manley, Cheshire, said: "He was always gangly, with a pudding bowl haircut, not what you'd call cool. His hair was so blond it was almost white.

"Danny used to stay with us. Sometimes we had to share a bed so now I can say I've slept with James Bond."

Dad Tim, 62, who lives in Shropshire with third wife Kirstin, said: "I've never been a Bond fan.

"I'm delighted for him. He is a fantastic actor and he deserves all his success. It's great to see him doing so well. I see him as a rather dangerous Bond - he'll bring a dark menace to the role." Brenda Davies, Daniel's drama teacher at Hilbre High School in West Kirby, Cheshire, recalls Craig walking into a casting session for a production of Oliver in 1981.

Brenda, 61, said: "My jaw nearly hit the floor when he got up on stage. He had such timing and range and he had stage presence for a 13-year-old. I thought 'What have we here?' "

Daniel joined the National Youth Theatre in 1985. Edward Wilson, then artistic director, says: "He showed exceptional promise."

FIVE years later he won a place at the Guildhall drama school in London.

His first big break was the BBC's Our Friends In The North. His first film role was in The Power of One.

Stardom eluded him until 2001 when he was cast with Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and then Tom Hanks and Paul Newman in The Road to Perdition.

Then came Sylvia, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Enduring Love with Samantha Morton and Layer Cake with Sienna Miller.

He has dated Kate Moss, German actress Heike Makatsch and more recently Los Angeles movie producer Satsuki Mitchell, 29, and Sienna Miller, his co-star in gangster movie Layer Cake.

He has also remained close to ex-wife Fiona Loudon, 37, an actress-turned music therapist who he married in 1992. They have a daughter Ella, 12, also said to be a talented actress.

WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY

DAVID EDWARDS
Mirror Film Critic
WITH his piercing eyes and chiselled jaw, the man with the golden locks looks like the perfect choice to succeed Pierce Brosnan as the new Bond.

Daniel Craig certainly walks the walk, but can he talk the talk?

After his one big budget action movie Tomb Raider, Craig declared: "I hated it. I can't do superhero stuff."

Mmm... that doesn't bode too well for the £100million remake of Casino Royale does it?

The bookies don't have much confidence in him either.

George Lazenby was axed after just one movie - On Her Majesty's Secret Service - and Ladbrokes is offering 10-1 Craig will suffer the same fate.

But maybe it is a little unfair to write him off quite so soon.

He can certainly act. We have known that since he stole the show as the troubled Geordie Peacock in the 1996 BBC TV series Our Friends In the North .

And last year he dazzled as a London hardman in Matthew Vaughan's Layer Cake. He was cool, unflappable and charismatic - a licence to thrill, maybe?

CAROLINE JONES
Woman's Editor
IT is obvious why women fancy Daniel Craig. Looking at his rugged face and taut body, what's not to love?

He has the craggy good looks of a real man, the steely blue eyes of a heartbreaker and a nifty set of muscles to boot.

And if his success with Kate Moss and Sienna Miller is anything to go by, his bedroom skills are not to be sniffed at either.

On paper he makes a great Bond. But does anything lie behind his cool demeanour - or is his reticence simply a cunning cover for a grumpy, rather dull man?

Women love a mystery, a man who doesn't give everything away all at once. But when an enigma turns out to be an anti-climax, we are left sorely disappointed.

Craig certainly has a lot to live up to, following in the footsteps of some of the hottest heart-throbs in Hollywood's history.

This role will be his biggest test to date and how well he fits into Bond's tuxedo remains to be seen. And until we find out more about this somewhat reluctant star, for most of us he'll remain Daniel Vague.
